Hello, we are Darren and Dana Nelson. We live in eastern South Dakota. We are part of the fourth generation to operate our families’ farm. We have been exploring different ways to diversify our operation. With a random conversation with Wanda and God’s timing, we decided to jump into flax and buy the business so Gene and Wanda could retire after starting the business 30 plus years ago.

Purity Seeds is located in eastern South Dakota.

From the field, the flax is cleaned for human consumption, then packaged into 2 lb. to 25 lb. bags or ground and packaged into 1 or 1.5 lb. bag. The product is then shipped fresh to you the consumer.

Traditional crops over the years varied from wheat, rye, corn and soybeans as well as raising cattle. After hearing of the many wonders of flax, we decided to grow and package it.

Darren and Dana have four children. Our hope is that Purity Seeds  will ensure them each a future part in the farming community.
